Kazakhstan presented digitalization of laboratory services at the IV Russian Congress

The IV Russian Congress on Medical Microbiology and Infectology with International Participation was held in Moscow. More than 2,000 industry specialists, including guests from 28 countries, attended the event. The congress featured 30 sections of the scientific program, and over 200 speakers presented.

The Republic of Kazakhstan was represented at the congress by Altay Alikhanovich Amanbayev, Director of the Almaty Branch of the National Center for Expertise.

The Kazakh delegation presented a report on "Digitalization of Laboratory Information Systems in Kazakhstan. Integration of Laboratory Services with Clinical Practices." In his speech, Amanbaev emphasized that the digitalization of laboratory services is a continuous process of creating a connected, secure, and intelligent ecosystem where accurate data is placed at the center of modern medicine to improve public health.

"The presentation will focus on the digital transformation of laboratory diagnostics. We live in the era of big data, and our task is to learn how to use these tools to improve the accuracy and speed of work, and therefore save patients' lives," Amanbaev noted.

The congress program covered all key areas of the industry: diagnostics of bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections, antibiotic resistance management, molecular biological methods, personalized medicine, biobanking, mass spectrometry, the human microbiome, microbiological monitoring in healthcare organizations, diagnostics in military conflicts, laboratory design, and the development of the new specialty of "Medical Microbiology."

It should be noted that the NCE speaker's report provided the participants and organizers with an overview of the development of the medical digital space of the laboratory service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its achievements, and future priorities. This allowed them to attract the attention of potential partners and strengthen the organization's international image.
